This bronze figure is very modern, a so called "Limited Edition", but patterned after late 19th to early 20th Century examples by sculptors such as Edouard Drouot (1859-1945) , Charles H. Humphriss and Carl Kauba. The market began to be flooded with limited edition bronzes during the late 1980's, which caused a decline in the market value for 20th century bronzes across the board. Several companies marketed similar pieces such as the Bradford Exchange and the Franklin Mint. Variations on this particular design are still in production in the USA and China. We have no data on file for this piece, but have seen this same figurine on numerous occasions selling for less than $75.00.
