Values for vintage Western saddles depends a great deal on the maker, level of decoration, provenance and current condition. Unmarked saddles are very difficult to identify to a specific maker, in such cases things such condition, quality of construction and decoration are considered the most important elements in determining their value.

The style and construction of western saddles has changed very little over the last hundred years, but the vast majority we see today like this example post date the 1930's. While highly decorative “Parade Saddles” owned by Western film stars can sell for several thousand dollars, most good quality used Western riding saddles sell for under $500.00, but often go at auction for less than $200.00 in the current market.
